In an interview with iiMagazine, Plant Manager Roberto?Ceccarelli explains how KUKA robotics, strong partnerships, and advanced technologies help safeguard quality, safety, and the long term value of Made in Italy — with the ambition of bringing Italian perfection to the world.
Ceccarelli: "The drive toward excellence – that distinctly Italian desire to do things properly – has found a valuable ally in robotics. Today, automation is at the heart of our production. Ceccarelli: "Sacmi systems and 40 KUKA robots integrated by Gaiotto are now operating across casting, finishing, glazing, and in plant handling. They ensure repeatable and consistent processes. For us, this reproducibility is essential to guaranteeing the highest level of quality over time."
Ceccarelli: "The real step change came with the introduction of high pressure machinery and robotic systems. Processes were standardized, quality became uniform, and operators’ manual, physically demanding activities were significantly reduced. That fundamentally transformed our production."

Ceccarelli: "There is no longer any manual handling of heavy loads. We have eliminated strenuous tasks, reduced risk, and restored dignity and safety to work. At the same time, roles have evolved: today our operators are specialists in robot operation and maintenance."
Ceccarelli: "Choosing KUKA was not just a technical decision - it was a strategic one. Together with Sacmi and Gaiotto, we were able to address complex challenges. What I appreciated most was the reliability and the willingness to solve problems together - not simply installing robots, but building real solutions."
