Duc's main task as a trainer is to conduct training courses and provide practical support for participants. "My job as a trainer also involves supporting the Knowledge Services team in creating the training materials and continuously improving them together so that I can always provide the training participants with up-to-date knowledge. To do this, I constantly keep up to date with the latest developments in robotics and automation," says Duc. “I'm also responsible for maintaining the technical equipment and systems and ensuring that they work perfectly.”
From beginner to advanced: imparting knowledge for every level
The trainers get to know many different faces every week through their work at the KUKA college. “One of the biggest challenges is to meet the different learning needs and speeds of the participants,” says Duc. "I organise the lessons flexibly: faster learners are given additional tasks. Different learning methods also help to ensure that everyone understands the content." Duc's motto is to explain knowledge in a way that also children would understand.
“I am motivated by the opportunity to pass on my knowledge and experience and help others to improve their skills,” says Duc. "What I enjoy most is the moment when the participants have an “aha” moment and understand complex relations. It is very fulfilling to see how they put what they have learnt into practice."
From Augsburg to the whole world: KUKA College international
The day-to-day work of a trainer in Braunschweig differs only slightly from the processes at KUKA College locations worldwide. Just like Duc, over 100 trainers around the world spend their working day between robot cells and training rooms. The training courses are planned by the responsible administrators in the respective countries. Annual planning takes place at the beginning of the year, which serves as the framework for the online catalogue. Over the course of the year, the training programme is then flexibly adapted to the respective demand.
