Systems

As one of the world’s leading suppliers of automated production and assembly solutions the KUKA business segment Systems is your reliable specialist for innovative joining and forming processes for a wide range of materials.

The perfect vehicle body: intelligent networking of robots enables efficient production.

Our core competencies are efficient Body-in-White joining processes, bonding and paint shop solutions and the final assembly of engines, e-drivelines, battery packs and modules as well as the transmission assembly.

For a highly flexible and scalable production we are developing and integrating autonomous guided vehicle systems. Moreover, we provide intelligent IIoT and virtual commissioning solutions for a profitable digital change of your industrial business. We are continuously developing our core business, creating technological innovations like human robot collaboration solutions and offering customer benefits as well as individual and innovative solutions.

Robotics

The core component for automating production processes is provided by the Robotics division: Industrial, collaborative and autonomous mobile robots (AMR) – combined with the robot controller, the appropriate software and digital services for each phase of the customer journey. The broad product portfolio – from traditional 6-axis robots to DELTA and SCARA robots – covers payload ranges from three to 1,300 kilograms. Robotics also offers a wide range of services. Customers can, for example, pursue technical training and continuing education from KUKA Colleges at more than 30 locations worldwide.

KUKA Robotics is continuously expanding its range of products in order to be able to offer suitable solutions to customers from a wide range of industries – particularly in markets such as automotive, with a focus on e-mobility & battery, electronics, metal & plastics, consumer goods, e-commerce, retail and healthcare. KUKA also offers small and medium-sized companies a simple and economical point of entry into automation. Research and development plays an important role here. The trend is towards robots that are easy to program, that can be used flexibly and that can be easily integrated and networked. When supplemented with KUKA’s offer in the AMR sector, robots become flexible and intelligent assistants in production.

Digital

At KUKA, we are focusing on industrial digitalization within our digital segment. In doing so, we consider the entire product life cycle – from design and engineering to commissioning and production. The efficiency increases required today can only be achieved by connecting and digitalizing these phases. The use of digital solutions is increasingly becoming a key differentiator.

KUKA is known as an established partner for the automation of production processes. With KUKA Digital, we are expanding this portfolio. KUKA Digital not only enables the further automation of a wide range of machines, but also extends the automation of all phases in our customers' product life cycle. Starting with the first 3D simulation, connectivity, data analysis, the use of artificial intelligence and the digital twin for fully digitized and automated production.
