Sustainability remains a decisive factor for the future of our company—for our society, our industries, and for us as the KUKA Group. Even though this topic has at times receded behind other global challenges in public perception, its importance has by no means diminished. On the contrary: expectations from customers, partners, employees, and the public remain high, and we set ourselves ambitious goals to meet them.
For us, sustainability means responsible entrepreneurial action along the entire value chain—ecologically, economically, and socially. Our defined sustainability goals exemplify this path. We aim to reduce emissions, use resources efficiently, drive innovation, and at the same time create a positive impact for people and the environment. We continuously optimize our own sites—from energy efficiency to the expansion of renewable energies to the electrification of our vehicle fleet. Our goal: to reduce our direct emissions by 42% by 2030 and become climate-neutral in the long term.
New legal transparency requirements, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) in conjunction with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), set concrete and comprehensive reporting obligations. These standards define how companies must report on their sustainability performance—an important step toward greater comparability. We already report voluntarily in alignment with the ESRS and thereby consciously position ourselves as a pioneer in terms of transparency and responsibility. The past year has shown that our consistent efforts are paying off: KUKA was once again honored with the ESG Transparency Award 2025 in the Excellence category.
Our employees make the difference: their commitment is the foundation for our success and our sustainable development. With our Sustainability Report 2025, however, we not only show where we currently stand and the progress we are making, but also the tasks that still lie ahead.
